The Little Secrets: Venus Exhibit

A night of art, free food, good company, and hot musicians with really good taste in shoes.
This is why I love going to art exhibits. When you got an open mind, you always meet the strangest and most wonderful people.

I should take my friends to go eat at ALPS (A Little Piece of Sky) Cafe.
It's one of those quaint little places wherein if you don't know where it is, you'll probably never find it.
A little kind of treasure-hunting, if you will.

I Got A Pair Of Brand New Roller Skates

There once was a girl who begged her mother
to buy her roller skates at a secondhand shop
because she thought it would be cool and maybe
she could form an all-girl roller derby team like in
that Ellen Paige and Drew Barrymore movie, Whip It!

She loved the skates so much that as soon as she got
them, she gave them one big hug..
(I'm sorry. I'm tryin' to give a good heartfelt story about
skates here so a hug is obligatory.)

Clearly this girl's got way too much free time in her hands
that she pushed and  pulled as hard as she can all day long (possible exaggeration)
until she got her chubby feet inside the darn skates. Look, she tries so hard that it looks like
she's about to sneeze or have an orgasm of some sort.

So she finally got them on and took 'em for a spin....
You know... To paint the town red or something like that..

Wobbly roller-skating virgin legs + a flight of stairs...
Well, you get the picture. It wasn't pretty.

She got a big booboo on her elbow afterwards.
Okay, I lie. I got that bloody scratch 3 hours before
while I was longboarding in a dark abandoned alley.
Made me feel pretty bad ass until I realized it's going
to leave an ugly scar on my elbow. :(

The girl decided that she needed more time to learn the
ways of the great roller-skating masters.
So she opted to be zen and do yoga instead.

This kind of reminds me of the Wicked Witch of The West from
The Wizard of Oz when she got squished like a bug by that house..

I'm hungry and making this post reminds me a of song......

I need to get a life... Or maybe do yoga for real...

Where The Wild Things Are

Gloomy Sunday. I had to drag my little brother's butt out of the house so he could take my pictures. Everything I'm wearing I bought at thrift stores (except the shoes and necklace). This tiger sweater is one of my favorite finds and I'll be doing more outfit posts wearing it (outfit reapeater!). I can't help it. It was cheap and it made me want to RAWR!

Behold the one-eyed golden tiger. Now all he needs is an eye-patch and he'd be the coolest tiger head ever! I'm glad I got this really cheap at a thrift store.

His name is Ricarrrrrdo. He'll make you roar.

I get really shy when it comes to taking pictures and having strangers look at you. So I pretend to be doing something else when they pass by and wait til the coast is clear so I can go back to my derpy posing. #Neighborhoodies

Someone's finger is just asking to be severed. haha! That's bad photography 101 for ya. But I am thankful the little kid always says yes to taking my pictures :)

Hope everyone has a lovely and productive week!

Studded Shoes & Faded Jeans

This is what I wore to a pre-Valentine date I had with some of my girlfriends last week. It's been so long since we've seen each other so we decided to meet up and have dinner. Food and gossip. That's what girls do best! haha
I couldn't really do a pose with a straight face on. So I opted to look like a surprised idiot instead. Suits me more. #Neighborhoodies
And looky here.. I finally have a shot of my current favorite necklace. Turquoise. You can never go wrong with a turquoise necklace.

Dinner at Romamia with the lovely Ina and Debbie. Love yah guys! Had such a fun time :) We should do this more often.

As for how I spent the 14th of February, well that story needs a whole post all on its own. From walking 20 blocks just to get to a restaurant because of deadbeat traffic, to going wild and singing (more like screaming) like crazy inside a karaoke room, and biking on the streets at midnight under the pouring rain (yes, this really happened and it was the best thing ever!). It was the the loveliest and most spontaneous Valentine's I ever had.

Hope you guys had a good one, too! How did you spend you're Valentine's?

House of Dreams

I've seen a lot of swanky houses during my lifetime (and that's mostly because I watch too many MTV Cribs episodes). But I'm always left in awe at the number of bedrooms and bathrooms people can fit in their homes,. Don't even get me started on the basketball courts or mini movie theaters or recording studios some celebrities got goin' on in their cribs. But hey, if you got ridiculous amounts of cash flowing in every second, might as well spend it and spend it BIG! I'd tap that.

So since I do plan on getting ridiculously wealthy and buying my own house someday, I think it'd be really mature of me (not really) to start envisioning and planning what my future house would look like.

THE DREAM HOUSE
  • Funny face. Audrey Hepburn's face on my wall. This woman is my sister from another mister. A doe-eyed goddess. A beacon of light. My mother from another father (I dunno what this means. LOL!). Simply put, I think Audrey is just wonderful (and if you beg to differ, I.WILL.CUT.YOU.. hehe).

  • A birdcage inside a fish cage. Say whut? Whoever thought of this bizarre concept is a genius! A birdcage in the center of an aquarium. I must, I must, I must have it for myself!

  • A shoe haven. A closet especially made just for shoes is a must for every girl.

  • Booked staircase. I love reading! Therefore, I'm on my way to having a serious collection of books and will need some space to put them in. You think I'd settle for some humdrum library but NUH-UH! This right here takes the cake. A staircase filled with books! You think you're just climbing down normal boring old stairs and BAM! The sight of my book collection hits yah. That's serious mind-fuck right there...

  • Living dead. I want my living room to have high ceilings and have a big ass mural of a corpse that looks like Abraham Lincoln if he was more street and urban. This would be the chillest kick-it spot ever!!!

  • Secret garden. I love frolicking around gardens and backyards that seem to lead you to creepy forests. A house wouldn't be complete if it didn't have some sort of plant growth around it. That is why I need a garden. Particularly one that makes me want to pretend I'm a forest nymph who eats flowers and beetles for lunch and runs around naked.

  •  Pink surprise. Wouldn't it be lovely if I had a huge pink front door to welcome my guests? It may be a bit gay and some would say it subconsciously resembles a vajayjay, but trust me, once you get inside this pink door you'll want to stay inside forever. Okay, that sounded dirty. haha!

  • Man, oh man. And lastly but definitely not the least, a fine looking fella who lives in this house with me. Clue: We're roomies (*awinky-dink-dink)

But seriously, if I had a sweet ass man with me, I'd ditch this whole home-furnishing plan and just live on an island somewhere and have him all to myself. *naughty grin*

Don't you think my future house is THE BOMB?

Mad For Forever 21

Forever 21 Cebu finally opened its doors today!!!! A cause for celebration!!! Now there's no need to go all the way to Manila and shop at their branch like it's the end of the world. Woke up early just to drag my cute butt to SM and be one of the first people to get inside the store. But dammit, as soon as I got there more than 500 people were already lining up! And it wasn't even 10AM yet! So I opted to mope in the second floor and take pictures of the crowd instead. :(

Lucky people :( Got goody bags and some other perks I don't know about :( I should have gone earlier!

I noticed there were a lot of really stylish girls with fabulous shoes that lined up. I love it when people dress up and look good. It's nice to know people are keeping up with the trends and finding their own sense of style.... But I really should have gone to the mall an hour early :(

As soon as they opened people started rushing in! Hallelujah! I'm still bitter about not getting those goody bags, though :( I SHOULD HAVE GONE EARLIERRRRRR!!!!!

So in the afternoon (after classes, of course!), my friends decided to check the store out and I happily tagged along. (Grabbed these pics from mi amigas, Chenee here and Faith here)

My friend was able to snap some pics from her phone without us being caught. Lusting over their accessories and shoes!

So I guess the life lesson here is that "THE EARLY PEOPLE WHO'VE GONE TO THE MALL BEFORE 10AM SHALL BE REWARDED". Well, that's my interpretation of it. Haha! We ended the day by pigging out at Leona's. Lovely food with lovely friends :) Can't get any better than that....

Are you mad for Forever 21, too?
