No Money, No Family, Sixteen In The Middle of Miami

MUSIC MONDAY
I am currently obsessed with Iggy Azalea.
Not only is this pretty Aussie very fashionable, she can drop some sick rhymes, too!

Maybe if my derriere were as lovely and plump as hers are, I could actually rap to save my life. (insert a lone tattooed tear here)

Unconventional Beauties

Pretty pouts
And eyes empty of self-doubt

The Halo Braid

So like I promised (a week ago. Tsk  tsk), I am going to post the video tutorial
where I learned to do the HALO BRAID. It looks very intricate but once
you see the video it's quite simple really. A braid over here and
a twist over there and 50 hairpins later.. Presto! You look like
a German maid who's out to milk her cows or pick wild flowers in the
Swiss Alps. Or you could pretend to be a Grecian goddess. Your choice.

Practice with Suzi from stylesuzi.com's Halo Hair Updo Tutorial
Pretty simple! :) #Neigborhoodies

Check out how these celebrities donned their halo braids.
Mary Kate (or is that Ashley?) Olsen going for that I-wore-this-braid-last-night
-and-I-just-woke-up-and-had-to-rush-to-get-to-this-red-carpet-event look.
Point is I wanna look like this. The I Could Care Less Which Way My Hair Is Going look.
But let's face it, no one can work out disheveled better than the Olsen twins.

Amanda Seyfried donning the halo braid and looking like a good Amish farmer's daughter.
But you ain't foolin' no one, Amanda! Especially not me!
I've seen the movie Chloe and we both know you're only good in...other aspects.
But I still love you. We have the same wide-eyed stare. I can totally relate.

Oh, Sienna Miller. You can do no wrong in my eyes.
But maybe try putting a little more color on your lips. You look
like you've seen a ghost. Speaking of ghosts, how are you? Watcha doin' nowadays?
Any movies coming up? I miss you...

The Girl With Flowers In Her Hair

Found this black tulle skirt during a recent trip to the thrift store.
I'm not even sure whether I'm ever gonna wear this thing anywhere besides
the creepy back lot of our house. But it was love at first sight and I knew I just
had to have it (that or it could've been the really really cheap price).
Either ways I still think it was l'amour. Cheap l'amour. haha!

Wish I didn't look like such an awkward freak in most of the pictures?
Well honey, that makes two of us. I was resisting the urge to skip and twirl and do pirouettes.
The adult in me (scoff) was telling kid me (yeyy) to behave and pose like
Frida Kahlo (without the unibrow). But the skirt. The skirt made me do it.

I look like a 12 year old kid who was pretty pissed off because
her ballet recital didn't go as planned and she wasn't chosen to play the swan queen.
D-d-d-divaaaaaaa!!!

Cut Off Crop Top

I know what you're thinking, "Not another midrib baring outfit!!"
But ayayay chicas, I just had to.
When the heat comes on, the clothes come off... or cut off in this case.
Saw this outfit and I knew I just had to jump in on the crop top bandwagon.
You can cut off a singlet and pair it with a high waist skirt! Perfect for ze summer.
#Neighborhoodies
Felt a little artsy fartsy so I decided to dab on some beautiful technicolored English roses.
A pretty pop of color in the pictures. Makes me feel all girly and summer-y and spring-y.
And because dammit when this girl wants flowers, she gets her darn flowers!
Even if it's just the digital e-flower kind you can easily find on google.. haha!
In other news, I finally learned how to download e-books on the internet...
What?! Stop judging me!!
I'm not good with this downloading business, okay? It's a miracle I even run a blog.
Now on to the news.... So I went a little crazy downloading every book I've ever wanted to read
but didn't have the pesos to spend or couldn't find it in the local bookstores.
So I decided to list 'em all and let you guys in on my summer reads.

FELIZ'S SUMMER BOOK LIST:
1. Looking For Alaska - John Green
2. Fault In Our Stars - John Green
3. The Child Thief - Brom
4. The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
5. The Perks of Being A Wallflower - Stephen Chobsky
6. Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher
7. Night - Elie Wiesel
8. Hush, Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick
9. Wicked - Gregory Maguire
10. Perfect Chemistry (Series, 3 books) - Simon Elkeles
11. The Uglies (Series) - Scott Westerfield

The list doesn't stop there. I'm still looking for more e-books I can get my greedy hands on.
If you guys have a few books you'd recommend I read please let me know :)
You can see the my "Current Read" on the top of my sidebar. I'll be giving my reviews in my future posts. Hopefully I get to read everything on the list by the end of the summer.

90s Groupie {The Hansons Concert}

Here's what I decided to wear during The Hansons concert. My sister forced me to come and I couldn't say no. Pssshh.
One minute I'm calm, and the next thing you know I'm screaming my head off wishing I was going to a Van Halen concert instead of watching The Hansons. The constipated look on my face... I can't even...
Balcony seats!! Yeeeaaah!! haha.. I'm sorry. We're cheap like that. And I'm not really into spending too much money on a concert wherein I only know 2 songs. hahaha!
Holy Smithereens!!! Someone accidentally spilled a bucket of sexy on these guys. I still remember the first time I saw there video for their song MMBOP. I was 5 years old and I was very confused if they were girls or boys with really long princess-y blonde hairs..  Those were the days. #Neighborhoodies
My face. They don't call me creepy for nothin'.
I was quite surprised that I actually had fun. Wow I had fun. I guess the 90s kid in me took over and decided to scream like an obsessed fan girl and do tacky 90s dance moves. I was Mmmbopping all the way home.

I bet you're a creepy 90s groupie, too!

That Thing Called Grunge

SUMMER'S HERE and so is my never-ending need to bare my midrib! Okay, I don't really dress like this in public since I don't want people ogling or giving me dirty looks. But if I could, I totally would! haha! Cut off a pair of 90s "mom jeans" but apparently le mama thought it was way too short for me to wear outside the house. *sigh* So I guess camwhoring at home will just have to do.

It seemed Eula, my favorite "ASKAL", was bent on ruining the pictures and had to be in every shot. Couldn't get rid of the bitch so I decided to strangle her instead.. Kidding! Love that mutt to pieces. #Neighborhoodies

The longest relationship I've ever had is with these bad boys right here. My Chucks and I have been together for almost 9 years now. Still going strong! *happy tears*

Can you smell that? It totally SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT! haha!
